The first release candidate of phpSysInfo 3.0 will soon be available for download.
This is the first new major release in over 5 years, and it includes a whole new interface.
It also includes a new format for the language files. They are now stored in XML files, instead of PHP files.
This is the (in-)complete changelog for phpSysInfo 3.0.
- Redone the way phpSysInfo is configurated. NOTE: You will need to replace your config.php with the config.php.new!
- Completly rewritten interface with help from:
- Magnus Haugsand (CSS and design)
- John Resig, http://ejohn.org/ (helping out to debug in the mystery browser: IE)
- New XML builder using SimpleXML (http://php.net/simplexml)
- Feature request #1484597: Multiple System Display.
- Bug fixes:
* #1668809: Uncaught exception on some windows systems.
- Updated the changelog format. Should be easier to understand now.
- Moved the XML generation to a new file, xml.php.
- Using XML files for language storage now.
So, do you want do see phpSysInfo in your favorite language, or do you want to create a totally awsome skin for it? Go to the phpSysInfo project page and watch out for the new release candidate. If you can't wait to get your hands dirty you can off course check out a copy from CVS.
